The next installment in my current look at Paradiddles is Accented Paradiddles. I’ll split it into 2 parts as it’s a bit too much for one article. In both parts we will be using the Single Paradiddle that we learnt in Paradiddles - The Basics although these exercises can, and should, also be practiced with all 4 forms of the Paradiddle. |
| Like all new exercises, take them slow and steady at the start and don’t try to go too fast. Use a metronome if you have one as well. Try each of the exercises seperately at first then start playing them in pairs, fours etc until you can play them all, one after another, smoothly. |
